Construction crews continue work on Allegiant Stadium Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

The builders of Allegiant Stadium said today a third person at the construction site has tested positive for coronavirus.

In a statement, Mortenson-McCarthy said it was notified Thursday that a visiting trade partner administrator has tested positive for the virus.

The person, who had limited contact with others at the site, has not been at the stadium since April 7, prior to experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, the company said. The person is now in self-isolation, the company said.

Areas the person visited have been sanitized and shut down, while work continues in other parts of the site, the statement said.

Project officials have said the $2 billion stadium project remains on track to be finished on time by July 31.

Construction has been classified as an essential industry in Nevada, under Gov. Steve Sisolak’s directive.
